A Fragment of Chrome was published on December 12, 2025. It is my debut novel and the first instalment in The Carbon-Steel Divide series.
In a flooding Ocean City where corporations own the streets and chrome replaces weakness, mercenary Corren "Psyche" Vega has spent years becoming the perfect weapon—emotionless, efficient, incapable of the mistakes that got his brother killed.
When his team is hired to recover stolen technology, the job pulls them into a shadow war playing out in Ocean City's underworld. As the mission spirals beyond a simple theft, Psyche must choose: complete his transformation into the disposable weapon this world demands, or risk remembering what it means to be human.
In the divide between carbon and steel, humanity isn't lost in a single moment. It's traded away, one piece at a time, until all that remains is the question: Was it worth the cost?
